How Bundle Pricing Works for B2B Customers
Bundly works with Shopify B2B. When a customer is logged in to a B2B account, the bundle page shows their B2B catalog price for each product in the bundle. What they pay for the bundle depends on the pricing type you choose in the bundle's Pricing section.
What B2B customers pay with each pricing type
In this example, a bundle has 3 products. Each one costs €28 in your store and €20 in your B2B catalog.
| Pricing type | Regular customers pay | B2B customers pay |
|---|---|---|
| No discount | €84 (3 × €28) | €60 (3 × €20) |
| Percentage discount (10%) | €75.60 | €54 |
| Fixed amount discount (€9 off) | €75 | €51 |
| Fixed price (€75) | €75 | €75 |
The first three types start from each customer's own prices, so B2B customers keep their catalog prices and get the bundle discount on top. A fixed price is the same for every customer.
Fixed price is the same for every customer
A fixed price ignores catalog prices. In the example above, B2B customers pay €75 for products that cost them €60 one by one. In that case, the bundle page shows only the €75 price, without a price before discount.
A bundle can't have a separate fixed price for B2B customers. If you need different prices for B2B and regular customers, use Percentage discount and set your B2B prices in your catalog.
Our recommendation: Percentage discount
For bundles that B2B customers buy, we recommend Percentage discount:
- Every customer gets the same percentage off their own prices.
- The bundle keeps your B2B pricing. For example, if your B2B prices are 30% below your regular prices, the B2B bundle price is also 30% below the regular bundle price.
- It gives the right result whether your prices include tax or not.
- A product with a higher price in Shopify makes the bundle cost more when a customer picks it. This is an easy way to charge more for premium options.
Show one price without a discount
If you sell bundles as products of their own, you may want to show a single price, without "10% off" or a crossed-out price:
- In the theme editor, open your bundle product template and select the Bundle information block.
- Set Show bundle discount to No.
- Turn off Show bundle price before discount.
Customers then see only the bundle price. It still follows each customer's own prices.
Make your bundles visible to B2B customers
Customers only see products that are in their catalog. If your B2B catalog includes only selected products, go to Products → Catalogs in Shopify and add each bundle product and every product inside it to the catalog. If the bundle product is missing, B2B customers can't open the bundle. If a product inside the bundle is missing, it doesn't show on the bundle page.
