How to Ensure Compatibility Between Bundly and UpCart Cart Drawer

If you're using both Bundly and the UpCart Cart Drawer app, you might notice that buttons on your bundle page aren't working as expected. This happens because UpCart intercepts button clicks, which prevents Bundly from functioning correctly.

Why Does This Happen?

UpCart's default Ajax handling can interfere with Bundly's JavaScript functionality. When customers try to interact with bundle components (like selecting variants or adding items to the bundle), UpCart may intercept these actions before Bundly can process them.

How to Fix It

The solution is simple: enable UpCart's enhanced compatibility mode.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Access UpCart Settings:
    • Go to your Shopify admin panel
    • Navigate to Apps and open the UpCart Cart Drawer app
  2. Enable Enhanced Compatibility:
    • In the UpCart app, look for the Cart Editor Settings
    • Find the checkbox labeled "Enhanced Ajax API compatibility"
    • Check this box to enable the setting
    • Save your changes in UpCart
  3. Reload and Test:
    • Reload your bundle page
    • Test the bundle functionality (variant selection, add to bundle buttons, etc.)
