How to Use Bundles with Draft Orders or Manual Orders

If you're creating orders manually in the Shopify Admin, like when a customer calls or you need to edit an existing order, you can still include bundles in those orders. Here's how.

Step 1: Enable Automatic Bundle Detection

Make sure the bundle has “Automatically detect the bundle in cart” enabled in Bundly.

You’ll find this setting inside each bundle, under Settings. When it’s turned on, Bundly will recognize bundles in the cart even if the products were added individually.

Step 2: Add Individual Items to the Draft Order

In the Shopify Admin, go to Orders → Create order.

Add each product in the bundle to the draft order individually (just like a customer would on the storefront).

Bundly will automatically detect that these products form a bundle and merge them together. Pricing, discounts, and visuals will update accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Why does it say ‘no components’ when I add the bundle product?”

This happens if you add the bundle product itself instead of its components. To fix it, add each item that makes it up. Bundly will do the rest.
