How to remove Add To Cart Button from Individual Product Pages

If you're using Bundly and want to prevent customers from purchasing individual components outside of a bundle, you can hide the Add to Cart button from the product detail page. This is especially useful if you're only selling certain items as part of a bundle.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Create a new product template without the buy buttons

In Shopify Admin go to Online Store → Themes.
Click Customize on your live theme.
Using the page selector at the top, switch to Products.
Click Create template and name it something like no-buy-button.
In the left-hand section list, locate the Buy buttons (sometimes called Product form, Add to cart, or Quantity).
Hover over those blocks and choose Remove.
Click Save.

You now have a product template that shows all product information but no purchase controls.

2. Assign the template to the products that should hide the button

Back in Shopify Admin open the product you want to prevent from purchasing individually.
In the Theme template dropdown (found in bottom right of the screen), choose no-buy-button.
Click Save.

Repeat for every product that should not be purchasable on its own. Customers will still be able to add the item to Bundly bundles, but the standalone Add to Cart button will be gone.

Need to do it in bulk?

Use Shopify’s bulk editor: select multiple products → Bulk edit products → add the Template column → set no-buy-button for all selected items, then save.

Additional Notes

The product pages will still be accessible via direct links, but customers won’t be able to add the product to their cart individually.
This method gives you control over which products are bundle-only.
You can also hide the products from search results and disable links to individual product pages on the bundle page.
