Can Bundles Be Published to External Sales Channels Like Facebook, Google, and TikTok?
Currently, due to limitations within the Shopify platform, bundles created with apps like Bundly cannot be published as products on external sales channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. Bundles are only available for your Online Store channel.
Why Can’t Bundles Be Published on Sales Channels?
Bundles created with Bundly require customers to select components before adding them to their cart or placing an order. This is true even for Fixed Bundles, where the components are predefined. Because of this dynamic nature, Shopify treats Bundly bundles differently from regular products.
As a result, Shopify doesn’t allow these bundles to sync with external sales channels like Facebook, Instagram, Google, or TikTok. This limitation is due to Shopify’s platform design and how it handles bundles created through third-party apps.
How Can I Promote My Bundles?
Although bundles can’t be published directly to sales channels, there are alternative ways to promote them:
Use the Direct Bundle URL:
Every bundle in your store has a unique URL. You can share this link on social media platforms, in ad campaigns, or in posts to guide customers directly to your bundle on your storefront.
Example:
- Create a Facebook or Instagram ad using the direct URL.
- Share the URL in a Pinterest pin or TikTok bio.
Promote the Individual Products in the Bundle:
If your bundle consists of individual products already synced with the sales channel, you can advertise those products on the platform and mention that they are available as part of a bundle on your website.
Leverage Collection Pages:
Create a dedicated collection page on your website for bundles. Use this page’s URL in your marketing efforts across various channels.
Will This Change in the Future?
We understand how valuable it would be to publish bundles on external sales channels. However, this limitation is tied to Shopify’s current platform restrictions. Should Shopify make changes to support bundle apps on sales channels, we’ll prioritize adding this functionality to Bundly.
